1. Fiscal changes impacting human resources management – starting January this year, labor legislation underwent several changes regarding: tax incentives for certain sectors (employees in IT, construction, agriculture, and the food industry); the gross minimum wage in the construction, agriculture, and food industry sectors; tax exemptions applicable to certain categories of employees.

2. Updates regarding employers’ obligations to hire persons with disabilities – as of January 28, a new order provides clarifications on how companies with more than 50 employees must comply with the obligation to hire persons with disabilities in a proportion of at least 4% of the total number of employees.

3. Changes regarding the average gross salary in 2025 – starting February 13, 2025, the average gross salary amounts to RON 8,620.
