1. The maximum value of a meal voucher remains unchanged
Starting in October, the maximum nominal value of a meal voucher will remain unchanged at RON 45. The same cap will also apply in February and March 2027. Providing meal vouchers remains optional for employers.
2. The value of childcare vouchers increases
Also starting in October 2026, the maximum monthly value of childcare vouchers has increased from RON 740 to RON 770. The new value will also apply in February and March 2027. The amount of 770 RON represents the maximum monthly amount that may be granted and is not mandatory for employers.
