The new regulations in unemployment insurance cut some facilities for employers

The companies who employ, indefinite, graduates and unemployed over 45 years will no longer have facilities on paying unemployment contributions, following the entry into force of Law 250/2013 on 22 October 2013.

The legal provision refers to the employers who employ high school or college graduates, unemployed over 45 years and unemployed parents, single parent family sustainer. The companies will no longer be exempt from paying the contribution due to the unemployment insurance budget for the categories previously mentioned.

Currently, if the employment of unemployed people aged over 45 and unemployed parents, single parent family sustainer takes place, employers will receive monthly, for 12 months, an amount equal to the reference social indicator for each person employed.

Also, the same amount will be received by companies that hire unemployed who qualify for retirement within five years of employment. This amount is paid for the entire period of employment, until the retirement of the employee. Until now, the grant was valid only for a period of three years until retirement.
